About

Torontosoft Tools is a free collection of image and PDF utilities that run entirely in your web browser. The site is operated by Torontosoft, an independent software studio based in Toronto, Canada. Every tool here is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license and you can self-host the entire site from the source code on GitHub if you prefer.

What we promise

• Files never leave your device — every conversion runs in your browser.
• No signup, no accounts, no email collection.
• No advertisements, no sponsored placements, no affiliate links inside the tools.
• No analytics that tracks individuals — only aggregate, cookie-less page counts.
• No paid tier on the tools themselves — they are free forever.
• Open source under AGPL-3.0 — every line of code is auditable.

How we sustain it

The browser-only architecture means hosting costs us almost nothing: a small server serves static files, and a CDN handles the rest. We do not need to recoup compute costs because there is no compute. In the future we may offer a developer-facing API on a separate subdomain for those who want server-side conversion at scale; that will be paid, but it will never affect this site.
