Convert SVG to JPG

Drop your SVG files and download JPG copies, rendered by your browser and flattened onto a white background. Useful when the destination needs a small, universally supported photo-style image rather than a vector or a transparent PNG.

How to convert SVG to JPG

  1. Drop your SVG files into the box below.
  2. Your browser rasterises each vector onto a white background and exports a high-quality JPG.
  3. Download the JPG copies individually or as a batch.

Why convert SVG to JPG?

Reach for SVG to JPG when the place you are sending the image neither understands vectors nor needs transparency, and you want the smallest possible file. JPG is the safest, most widely accepted raster format on earth: every email client, document editor, marketplace, printing service and legacy CMS opens it without complaint. Because JPG has no alpha channel, this converter flattens the SVG onto a solid white background — which is usually what you want for a logo or diagram destined for a white page, a printed handout, or a product listing. The downside is JPG's lossy compression: hard edges, fine lines and text in your vector can pick up faint halo artefacts that a PNG would avoid. If your SVG is a logo or icon with sharp edges and you care about pixel-perfect crispness, use the SVG to PNG converter instead and keep transparency; choose JPG when the artwork is photographic, when you specifically need a white background baked in, or when file size matters more than razor-sharp edges. As always, keep the SVG as your editable master since the JPG cannot be scaled back up cleanly.

How we compare

The closest peer to this tool is Google's Squoosh, which also runs fully in your browser. Squoosh focuses on compression for the modern web and does not handle HEIC or batch conversion. Cloudconvert and Convertio cover more formats but upload your files to their servers and meter usage.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?+

No. Rendering and JPG encoding both happen in your browser tab. Nothing leaves your device.

Why is the background white instead of transparent?+

JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent area of the SVG is filled with white so the artwork stays legible. Use SVG to PNG if you need transparency preserved.

What resolution is the JPG?+

It matches the SVG's width and height, or 1024 px on the longest side when the SVG only defines a viewBox, keeping the aspect ratio.

Will text and sharp edges look crisp?+

JPG can add subtle artefacts around hard edges and text. For logos and line art that must stay crisp, prefer SVG to PNG.

Can I scale the JPG up afterwards?+

No. JPG is fixed-resolution and lossy. Keep the SVG and re-export a larger JPG when you need one.

Which browsers are supported?+

Every modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Brave — can render SVG and export JPG via Canvas.
